Toshiba camcorder
I’ve just uploaded a video from my new Toshiba Camileo Pro HD camcorder, it was pretty straight forward using, it comes with Nero as well, which is always nice. Anyway, it’s not brillant, but for a cheap (£100), home camcorder I’m rather impressed.

OK, 1 thing is stopping me from moving my domain over. Paypal. WordPress only takes Paypal, my account needs me to confirm my details before I can spend my $10, I think I’ve done it, I’ve got a tick next to each step, still not done. Am I just being impaction?
busy week
Ok, just getting over the shocked of last thursday (14th), basically my girlfriend Savannah went into labor. Bit of a suprise as we didn’t know she was pregnant! Current in a state of shock, joy and rather pleased with myself, she was on the pill 
Anyway, whilst my son was sleeping I’ve managed to do a bit and I mean a bit, on dbSend. I’ve also been looking for cheaper ways of doing things. At the moment I’m thinking of WordPress and Sourceforge.

Just picked up WordPress feed, new release looks like it could be good.

Leave a Comment It’s about £350 for a good ZIP library, having looked at my bank balance, I doube I’ll be getting anytime soon. Ah well.
Going to do another build, split bit will be disabled.
I’m looking at getting a VPS again, was tempted to get a VPS with Russell (www.cheapvps.co.uk) and see if Luke (www.prgmr.com) could give me a free US VPS. I’ve pretty much talk myself out of that, Russell’s server, for me, seem flaky, he’s only just got Xen, I’ve yet to try them out, I pray they are better then the OpenVZ. Luke servers are good, I feel bad asking the guy for a free VPS, the guys doing well, really well from the sounds of it, he’s just snowed under, the publisher is p1ssed, they want the book done. His cutting down from his full-time consultaly job, just proves how’s prgmr doing.
Anyway, am currently looking at a cheap VPS with Dan (www.goscomb.net), seems pretty good, just which they would upgrade Xen so I can get Openbsd! Ah well, am currently looking at Centos, Debian and Slackware. We’ll see how they perform.
Back to dbSend, GoDaddy is doing free SSL license, which I think would be good, bit over the top, but it looks good and keeps the little bit of me worried about security happy. This does mean I will need to change my license, pretty much source will be public.
Hurray!! At least I’m not the only one…

weekend of 2142

Leave a Comment Well after a weekend of mainly 2142, I’ve got a few rank ups, a few badges and generally mixed feelings towards to the community that plays.
My nick is matt40k (durr) and my PID is 99014853.
Currently it appears EA’s lovely stats webpage isn’t up-to-date. Generally I’ve hit major dieing streak with was followed up by generally good few rounds, over 2:1 kill to death ratio. Hopefully it’s made up for my major death streaks!!
I a bit narked off with general idiots, ie the medic who doesn’t revive nor heal you, the support guy who doesn’t give you any more ammo, and the guy who wastes the entire game on the AA gun or c4 everything in the enemy’s base.
We’ll for once I joined a server mid battle and rather then trying to take the points I stayed on the titan, server was moving so it was rather good for killing . And ofcourse, this meant all the good stations were taken. I, however, was an engineer, so I was hopping on the rear AA gun firing the odd aircraft down, but mostly repairing the others, 88 assist points later, I was near the top of the board and we just lose (don’t really care, I just like the points!!).
To futher my n00bish actions I proceed to unlock the lambert, simply because I had previously nicked it from a n00b who walked into my drone and got shot to sh1t, and I loved it. Cr@p at range, but close up in titan matches it was deadly.
Now if I could only get over my n00bish quirk of not switching weapon when I’m being shot at. Basically on BF2 I used the scroll wheel to “randomally” select my weapon of doom, I did get pretty good at it (not sure if I still am, I’ve yet to install it since reinstalling many moons ago), anyway, for some reason I seem to run and hide whilst still holding the medic pack or whatever, at least I do deploy the drone pointing in the right direct, the same can be said for clays, however in most cases pushing 3 (or 2 for engineer) would have be MUCH better.

Leave a Comment Managed to get a fresh copy of XP install, after about 6 hours I managed to get it encrypted to US DoD standards. Just need to create a few test environments (VM images). God bless Microsoft for Microsoft Virtual PC and making Windows VM for public download. Might actually try dbSend on Windows 7 seeming as it’s public beta at the moment.
